Access to SD Card from PC

I can access my Desire memory when i connect it to my PC but how do i access the SD Card?

You have to mount the sd card. When the "charge only" icon comes up in the notification bar (once plugged in), drag it down, press it and change it too "disk drive"

I have been doing this and this is what gives me access to the phone memory to copy files directly to the phone. What i can't understand is how to access the SD Card via my PC.

That is how you do it. How much space does it show available?

I think you are making the mistake a lot of people do. I would guess that you are looking at your memory card!
