Help Accessing browser remembered passwords (HTC Hero)

I want to access the list of remembered usernames and passwords in the browser. It's two clicks on my PC, am I failing to find the right place on the andriod phone or has someone decided it's too dangerous for me to be allowed to see my own passwords??

I believe you will have to be rooted to access that part of the system data.

Gah. I really hate "nanny" IT that "protects" you from doing stuff they think you shouldn't.

Can this data be accessed if the phone is connected to a PC? Or would that be too simple?
