Help accessing internal memory question

Newbie
my wife has a galaxy s 4g from sprint.... and somehow she lost the SD card. the weird thing is that she can still view all her pictures and videos...so i am assuming they are saved on the internal memory.

i cannot figure out how to access them. here is what ive done so far:

  • installed astro - browsed the system and cant locate them
  • enterned usb debugging mode and plugged into my PC (hoping it would mount the internal storage)
  • installed Kies - I keep getting a "unsupported connection mode alert"
can anyone tell me how to mount the internal storage on my PC so i can browse a littler easier and maybe do a search for *.jpg??

Also, does anyone know what my issue is with Kies? i tried it on 2 different computers (vista and windows7) with the same results.

Specs on the phone:

Firmware - 2.2.1
Kernel Version - 2.6.32.9
Build - FROYO.EC05
Hardware Version - D700.0.5

Would it be possible to install another Micro card and tell Gallery to transfer the pictures there?
Gallery does have some options in the settings. You can also share via Picasa, Bluetooth and email. So maybe upload to Picasa and redownload from there?
