Root Accessing recovery mode after adding custom rom

Hi all, I've just completed replacing my old os with teppiks one. However now I can no longer access the recovery mode on phone startup by holding the volume down and power button. Is there another way to do it with this rom or is the program not on the phone at present? Thanks for any advice!

After turning your phone off, take your battery out for a few seconds, put it back on and boot up with vol down pressed.
Should sort it out for you mate. I'm on Teppic's and works a charm for me.

Probably "fast boot" is enabled in settings, power menu.
