Are the phones physically the same across all variants? Some accessories only list one or two. I don't want to order something that doesn't quite work

I believe all the Note 2's are the same size and shape so cases and screen covers should be universal but I'm not 100% sure

Yes, size wise, all Note 2's are the same size so you can ignore those details about some accessory only being available for the Sprint/AT&T/Verizon/etc Note 2. Would be pretty stupid of Samsung to release different size variants of the same phone. You're good to go here.

The only difference that I am aware of is some of the asian varieties of the phone have a TV Antenna on the top right of the phone so beware of any accessories bought from that region.

Although they will still fit a US note II, there will be a cut out there to allow the antenna to be extracted.

So maybe that's why the Mercury cases have a cut out on the top right?
