Accessories for the HTC Droid Eris

Thanks! :) Until you have it in your hands it is hard to tell if there is room or not. I trust your judgement...off to purchase! :) Think I am gonna keep the screen naked for the moment and see what happens!

I have a golla pouch for my Erie. On eBay it is listed. for an iPhone. I don't have my case on yet, but I have no doubt there will be enough room. The pouch is not tight at all! It does offer great protection unidentified my purse. I still want a screen protector though, just for added protection and maybe reduce fingerprints?? Hope this helps.

I ordered the Invisible Shield screen protector (zagg.com) for $14.99... just got it today & put it on within 5 minutes. It was simple & I got it right the first time around. I've been using Invisible Shield screen protectors for all of my electronics (Nintendo DS, DSLR camera, iPod Touch, previous phones) for the past 4 years & they all work very well. Some don't like that it has a rubbery texture when scrolling, but I like it since it's not as slippery & has better grip.

However, they changed the tools they provide you for application of the screen protector since I last purchased from them. They used to provide each package with a small spray bottle containing the liquid & a rubber squeegee tool, but now they provide a cleaning cloth, a big sponge soaked in the liquid & a plastic card. I found the new sponge made application A LOT easier & A LOT less messy. The screen protector fit perfectly & there was also a small hole on the top for the sensor.

Anyway, here are the results:

Thanks, i've had my Eris for about a month and it already has a small scratch on the screen. I really needed this.

I have one right now that is the exact same style as the one you linked to. I also just order one that is a pouch without the flap. Both from ebay, both of mine listed under iphone. BTW, it took 10 days to arrive :( I'm waiting patiently for my snap on cases and when I get it all I will post some pics.

I won this one too, but have not recieved it yet... THis one doesn't have a flap. I think these are the cutest pouches!

I agree. I bought two now, I just couldn't decide. Going to give whichever one I don't use to an iPhone friend as a gift. Or just start a collection, there are just too many options.

I bought the hard case with the silver trim from Verizon that is shown in Shante 1012's post. It's really nice - easy to open if you need to, but seals well. I wish it was a little more "form-fitting" though. It kind of obscures the cool slim shape of the Eris. Here is a nice dock that I found. Looks great plus it has a place to charge a spare battery if you use one. BATTERY CHARGER CRADLE FOR VERIZON HTC DROID ERIS PHONE - eBay (item 280450981050 end time Feb-12-10 10:30:05 PST). I was wondering if anyone has found a screen protector that doesn't get a lot of fingerprints on it. Having trouble with that. Thanks!

I just realized that I forgot (for the second time) to specify which color golla pouch I wanted off ebay. Last time I wanted the black and they sent the tan. This time I wanted a different black one and forgot to specify what color again!! What an idiot. I'll probably get the pink or red one instead... so I guess I'll be getting golla bag #3 in my final attempt at a black one!!! lol

Just like shoes and purses, you can never have too may golla pouches.
 
I ordered this cover HTC Eris Rubberized Red Cover on a recommendation from a poster here. I ordered it on December 22nd and I never received it and have called them and they told me it was on back order and would be sent in 5 days and that was 2 weeks ago.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE! HORRIBLE!
 
Followup to the paw avenue stuff, more woes, but I've got the blue gel crystal case from him on my phone now, he's gonna ship one to me either when the smoke come in from the manufacturer, or when he can get one in hand from another distributer. Guy is serious about his customer service.

ABSOLUTELY

FANTASTIC.

The case adds SOME bulk to the phone, but not much, and honestly for my big hands it makes it so it actually fits, rather than sliding around because my individual finger bones are longer than the phone is deep.

I highly recommend them, and I highly recommend paw avenue as a seller, I've been e-mailing him back and forth pretty much just chitchatting about phones in general at this point since he LONG ago resolved any issues with the order.
 
I just purchased the Golla Bag - Camo Beige from Amazon for $12.95 plus shipping. I'll use the D-ring on a belt loop, not the lanyard. I hate anything around my neck!

The hole is for attachments. Most high end cases @ carriers store come with a blank plate or a button/gear for belt clip. That being said you got the same quality case for $7
 
So is there a good, cheap car charger and desktop cradle out there. I've found some, but there a very little if any reviews of the products. I'd really like to hear from someone who actually uses them on a day to day basis. I'm kinda up in the air about a case as well. Any input would be appreciated guys. Thanks in advance.

I just received my Gel Crystal case (in smoke) from Paw Avenue. They threw in an extra screen protector for the delay - yes, they're serious about customer service!

The Gel Crystal case is good. It's got a rubberized feel, but doesn't stick to my pocket. The smoke color is also transparent enough to still see the phone. It adds as much bulk as any other case - which isn't much.

My only complaint is that it doesn't completely hug the device. There's a bit of slack on the top. It's not a huge issue, but it bugs me a little.

Overall, from the 3 cases I tried, this is the best one for my Eris. I highly suggest you check out Paw Avenue for this case - it's only $9.
