How about this for a cheap and easy desk stand for your Eris? I first found this online somewhere, so I'm not taking credit for it. Just passing along something that I thought was cool.

I used an old Dave & Busters game card and my old UCLA library copy card. It also works with gift cards and those fake credit cards that companies mail you. The best part is, I can easily charge my phone while it sits on my desk. There are a couple of clock programs that you can find in the Market that will lie horizontally...so you can replace that desk clock too! Also works for your nightstand.

I tell customers this all the time; just because the pretty pink case with the monkey on it (paul frank) LOOKS cool, doesn't mean that it actually protects your phone .

I thought the hole was for attaching a belt clip to the case... If I recall correctly, I saw something similar in the store.

But I don't want to see someone putting the Eris inside a sock and calling it a case!

I have this one as well and love it!

My wife has a blue gel case. One problem with the gel case is the volume buttons are extremely sensitive to it.

The phone vibrates whenever you pick it up.

i was just looking at this and wondering - is this the same thing that comes with the droid in the box? it connects from the AC adaptor to the droid eris unit... just wondering if its the same thing...

also - verizon offers "glossy silicone covers" for the eris but they look really girly .. i noticed someone in here say they found a black one at best buy so im going to check it out -- is there anywhere else people have found these ? (im just looking for plain colors) .. btw the glossy silicone covers are ONE peice, not two.

1. can someone tell me if the usb cable that was included with the eris (the one that connects to your ac adaptor to charge the phone) is the same thing as a "data cable" that websites are selling to transfer music/etc to your eris?

2. also can this cable be used to charge your phone by plugging it into something like a laptop?
