Accessories for the Note 3

Damn! These aren't on the market as of yet. I've been wanting this kind of a cardock for a long time now.

This guy is a true inventor/entrepreneur that is attempting the disappearing reality of Made in the USA. He's raised more than his goal for his idea startup prototype and appears to be close to production. Wished I had a chance to get in on the 'Early Bird' price.

And yup, it holds a G-Note - scroll down to see it.

Don't forget to watch the vid.

That looks awesome! You can still get one for just $10 more than the early-bird. Go for it!

I use the Mountek CD slot dock in my Toyota Tacoma. My wife liked it so much, we ordered a second one for her GMC Acadia. I don't like suction cups on my window and have never had one that ALWAYS stayed up there. Plus it blocks / distracts driving visibility. We NEVER use the CD slot in either vehicle as both have USB or aux ports. So this was perfect. It puts the phone in a very stable spot that is easy to see and reach.

I read about it on this website and couldn't be happier.

Just $20 on Amazon.

Amazon.com: Mountek nGroove Universal CD Slot Mount for Cell Phones and GPS Devices: GPS & Navigation

Paired with a retractable USB charging cable, it keeps the situation very clean.

Seems overpriced, IMO.

That's because everything else comes from China - just like he said that he can't compete with those kind of prices. I applaud him for wanting to maintain quality control. There is some significant engineering that went into it and he's not trying to skimp on materials. In the end he'll be put out of business by some CHINESE copycat or he'll buckle and fold to outsource it to there.

The way I'm reading it - it's not available yet either way and it's closed for donation to startup. There is no BUY buttons that I saw and I googled it too.

The reason I wanted to get this serpentine type mount is to attach it to the sunroof and near eye level or to the driver side wind so I can wrap it right behind the opening at the top of the steering wheel or even just above it.

I'm even thinking a 2nd one for the bathroom office. :D

Thanks to you (and @Dan GSR) for finally tipping me into trying the iOttie car mount. I was highly dubious the first time it was mentioned.

I fitted it this morning. You are quite right. Very effective and a good piece of kit. I was very surprised how well it grips firmly on a textured dash surface in my car. Slotting the phone in and out very slick and it's generally well designed. Works equally well in "portrait" or "landscape" orientations.

Amazon UK link is here.

I'd be curious if that ends up having issues of sticking to the screen, later down the line. Past Samsung phones have had issues with edge-to-edge screen protectors because of the screen having a lip. Keep us posted. In the meantime, I've saved this to my watchlist, as well as some others that I found below:

- This one intrigues me a lot, as I saw a similar protector for the S3 and have always wanted to try it out:
Caseology 2X Color HD Screen Protector Film Cover for Galaxy Note 3 Black | eBay

- Seems like lots of tempered glass options are available than ever before:
Premium Real Tempered Glass Film Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy NOTE3 N9000 | eBay

XGear Sentinel Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Clear | eBay

Tempered Glass Explosion Proof Screen Protector Samsung Galaxy Note 3 III N9000 | eBay

I might be the only one but this here doesn't really excite me. there are a ton of things like this already in market. Maybe b/c it has a longer arm.....I don't know. Me personally wouldn't want an arm from my windshield along my dash out to the front of it. There are a lot better products. Even one that uses existing factory screw holes to mount a bracket then you use a cradle to secure the phone. Just my my .02

I share the same sentiments. Although, I do give the person that developed it a thumbs up for keeping production in the US and the engineering is slightly different from the other products.

Great. I received my wireless charging pad, created a video to see it at work with the Qi car charger/mount that I purchased, but I'm having problem uploading the video from my old motorola photon.

So I am really, happy I bought the qi wireless car dock. This thing is much nicer than the online pics showed. It shipped extremely fast, considering it came from China, to the point that I don't even have my qi receiver yet tp test it and I ordered that before the dock

Any chance you can provide a link to where you got that from please mate?

This is a vital Note 3 accessory and very useful. I use it most days. Not really a re-purposed soap dish. So far, well outside the splash zone of my bath [tub in US-English].
