Accidental usage

I have looked but i just cannot find so please if it's been asked forgive me.

Is there a way of "locking"the phone to stop it working whilst in pocket etc ?.

Pressing the power button puts it on standby, if its pressed again you have to slide down to unlock. You could turn on the swipe pad for access also. It should be under settings > security.
