Help Accidentally checked for updates

I'm not quite sure why or how but I went for my phone this afternoon and it must have been on the system menu or something. When I pulled it out I somehow clicked check for updates.

My Droid X is now downloading update 4.5.596. It finished downloading successfully however, I do not want to install this update just yet.

I'm currently rooted and running the DarkSlide rom. I'd really like to continue running the phone the way it's been running. I have no issues as it is. Now however, I'm getting prompted to install the update all the time.

Is there a way to make sure that it goes away without installing the update? I've searched the forum and the closest matching topic by HolyGrail says to manipulate a file called systemupdater but that file isn't present on the Droid X.

Anyone have any clue?

Yes, I found that one first and thought it would have been a great help. Near the end of that post though someone also mentions that they are not able to find the file, systemupdater.apk.

I'm pretty much at a loss here :/

Well... so far, this is what I did.

The update downloaded successfully. Since I've renamed all of the bloatware to .bak and installed a custom ROM, I knew that the update would fail.

I let the update try to update, the phone rebooted, sure enough, update failed.

However, I'm no longer being prompted to download the update nor to install the update.
