Hi I am new to this site, I wonder if any one can help? I bought my son a an acer iconia tablet for his birthday and have just found out that he has broken the screen. He is gutted and i am mad! Can it be mended?

Is it just the top layer of glass? Does the screen still come on and does touch screen work?
I believe if you call acer the repair will cost $199+ tax
You could try a repair shop maybe local to you
Other options is to sell it for parts and buy a new one

yes... I wanted to buy the insurance........................!!!!!!!!
left and right side of the screen is craked but only the left side has 'blacked' out.

Digitizer is probably damaged. So unless a local shop can do it cheaper acer is going to charge you the $199
