Help Acer Tablet & Ebooks

cx3ane

Lurker
I was wondering how to get ebooks onto the Acer Iconia. For my ipad 2, I use the dropbox & ibooks. I was wondering if the Acer Iconia can do this, too. The 2 Acer Iconia Tablets are for my 2 kids. They are bugging me to finish this so they can use them. I still have 3 more hours until they can. I got that protect thing on it. I was told not to allow them on it for 24 hours. It is up in 3 hours. Thanks so much.

I was also hoping someone can help me with getting digital copy movies onto the Acer Iconia, too. The format is WMV. Do I need to convert them? To what? How? Thanks.

cx3ane -

Use MX player from the Market - It can play most Movie Formats -
I have Kindle - Google Books ans LumiRead Apps on my acer.
all work well - You should be able to download the books from drop box and read them in one of those.....

Ok dude, you hook it to your PC and transfer them from your pc to your tablet. Do all your updates and then go to the Acer web site and get the driver for your pc to transfer them. After you do the updates you can see all the files on your tablet. Or you can just put them on a mini sd card and put that in the slot and there they are . You will need a file manager to see the card but there are several free ones on the maket. Do the same for movies.

You can also put them on a thunb drive and transfer them from that to the storage on the tablet. I would suget th thumb drive or mini sd card to save room for apps and such on the internal storage.

I second the recommendation for dropbox. If you use dropbox, just copy your ebook to your dropbox on your pc. Then when you click on your dropbox folder on your Acer Iconia it will ask you if you want to use Lumiread or Aldiko
(if you have both of them on your Acer) I chose Aldiko and like magic the book goes right there :D! Hope this helps...it is so easy!
