Root Achieving s-off and FLASHING a new jellybean rom

I have a rooted evo lte with Hboot 1.12. What do I need to do inorder to achieve s off and flash a jelly bean rom. Do I need to get a more updated hboo?? I do not know what I need to do. Any help is appreciated. I have read that I should update my radios before I flash a new rom. Don't really know how to do that or if it is necessary.

but dirtyracun should work for what you have.

as far as radios go, i would wait to get s-off first before updating. it is just easier that way.
