Activating Online?

Just got my EVo off ebay, it was new sealed in the box.

When I go to activate it online it goes through everything fine but stops on "activating phone" and a red box comesup saying they need to assist me with activation to please call from another phone or click the chat link.

Well the chat is down and I don't have any other phones besides the phone I want to deactivate for the evo. Could I take it to the sprint store to get it done or will they give me flack for buying one off ebay to use?
 
Same thing happened to me but i bought mine off of craigslist. I had to activate it through chat but be careful i'm fighting with them now because they extended my contract even though i paid full price for the evo
 
Could have to do with the addition of the 10.00 premium data package, which I believe has to be done in store, or via CS on the phone. You might also try using the chat feature, maybe they can do it.

You should be able to take it to a sprint store to activate it.
 
Ok thanks guys, I did try the chat feature but it is down.

Says its either afterhours or temporarily unavailable.
 
Its all gravy guys, Just got out of the store and I'm happy to finally have my friggin EVO~!

Got a body glove, screen protectors and a car charger there too!

Guess I should format my SD card before I start xferring my old photos and stuff.
