Help Activation app

Ron2010

Lurker
the first time i activated my VM intercept i had a little connection problem but then it activated and the Activation app disappeared but then it came back and i still have and when i use it, it activates the phone again even tough i got service already and it just restarts the phone, and my question is:is the activation app supposed to still be there? and do any of u still have it?

Mine's still there! I think it stays 'cause you can like sell the phone and someone else can buy it and activate it with their number...maybe?

yeah u maybe right i just wanted to know if anybody else had it, and BTW whats up with the android 2.2 update im checking it 10 times a day there's still nothing

Why keep checking? Wait for the Virgin Mobile announcement (if there's one) or wait for people to post about it.

The activation app is still on mine, but I have removed it from my desktop. I have always had problems getting phones activated with Virgin Mobile, and both times I changed phones, I had to call tech support to get it activated. First time was when they first started to sell BlackBerry Curve (and it was ~$300 then!) and that was after I was paying a huge amount per month for cell phone service (had Virgin Mobile then and was paying $70/month for unlimited minutes, messages, and 20MB data).

The second time was when I gotten my Android phone. For whatever reason, there was a message that said it couldn't be activated. Again, I had to call up tech support and get it activated.

Hey man, Virgin Mobile posted on twitter that they are releasing 2.2 for the intercept sometime this spring. I made a thread about it, we are guessing the exact date it will be released and other things lol. If you want to check it out, search ofr it.

According to Virgin Mobile USA Twitter account, Samsung Intercept should receive Android 2.2 (Froyo) upgrade around 3/25/2011.

The actual Virgin Mobile USA Twitter account text is as :

"We know you have been asking for specifics on when VM will be getting the update to Android Froyo 2.2
