Help Activation issues?

Just got my rezound this morning, Thanks Santa!
Anyway, put my SIM in and booted it, says it is activating and to wait 2 minutes but never completes.
Tried taking the sim and battery out and trying several times, could this just be VZWs network being glutted with Activations?

I was in the exact same situation exact same problem . I called Verizon up and they fixed it in about. 5 minutes.

Figured it out.
Went to VZW on line, to my profile and activated the phone through there.
Rebooted the phone and I am up and running!
