Help Activation Program Pops up every time phone is reset

Every time I reset my phone the activation program pops up telling me to activate. This isn't right because I can still use the phone!!!! Something is causing this and I'm not sure. I was rooted with Gingerbreak, but I unrooted because I'm about to send it in for a warranty claim.

The same thing has been happening to me too for probably a month or more now. The first time it happened I got help with it from VM support (initially via a tweet) and they gave me some process to clear the error. It fixed it temporarily, but came back again the next time I rebooted. All I do now is just clear the notifications and the activate message stays away till the next time I reboot.

did you ever root your phone? what programs do you have installed?

Sounds like a software issue, shouldn't need to exchange it. If you would like to give it another try, have it rooted again and use something like Autostarts to control what app you want have it not running on boot.

Mine does the same thing. It happened out of nowhere after I had the phone for more than 2 months. But as far as I can tell it has no effect on the phone. It IS activated and everything works normally. All I need to do is clear the little activation icon from the notifications after a restart. Oh and I have never rooted my phone...

Same thing has been happening to my Triumph and I have not rooted it. It seems like a benign error but I would love to have a fix because it does make me a little nervous every time I restart my phone.

Keep in mind, you have to restart your Triumph more than other phones because of the wifi power drain thing, where if your wifi has ever been "on" in a session, it will hurt battery life even when turned off unless you reboot and have a clean wifi "off" session.

Since when?

I have not had any battery life issues after using wifi. I am currently using cm7, but I do not remember having that issue on stock either.

I had the issue for a while, the last time I got it instead of clearing it I just went throrough the activaiton process again and haven't seen it since. Eithr way it never seemed to affect anything.

I too have experienced this annoyance. I went into my settings from the home page and then went into the apps page. I went to manage apps, then switch to all and find SSC app ( forgot name but you will recognize the ICON for Activate) and clear the cache, reboot. This worked for me! Note: I rooted my phone shortly after I purchased it out of curiosity, following instructions in this forum. I UNROOTED my Triumph and rebooted. All seemed OK untill I updated apps from Market. This is when that activation app would run on reboot, even when my phone was already activated. I found the solution above.

i have had the same problem, mine started when i installed a larger sd card

I tried that but my cache is already empty under the SSA app. :( I don't feel safe about the clear data unless that's what you actually meant.
