When buying your phone online, Your phone with automatically connect to the *228 (VZW Activation Line) out of the box. From there its just like activating any VZW Phone.
That is, if you bought it from VZW.
Third party, unless otherwise branded (e.g.: NOT Verizon), may need to be flashed. Else, the above will work.
