Active Synch - remote wipe

Newbie
Hello folks, I would like you to give me your opinion on what just happen to me.I have an HTC desire, Android 2.2. Last month I have configured an Activesynch account in order to have my job related mail/agenda/contact always with me (ok a bit workalcoholic). So fa so good...Last sunday I was at park running and listening music with my htc (no connected to internet, no wifi, nothing...) at one point music went off...I thounght was the battery. The phone was rebooting and ...bad news it started asking me to reconfigure it (as when I turned on for the first time)bottom line I have lost all the info on the telephone. My questions are? 1) Can it be a remote wipe sent by the Mail Server Admin? (sound strange as was not connected)2) Anyone is aware of some kind of wellknowed bug?3) Do you have any other option? Thanks,Stefano

I've managed tp accidentally press the power button when the phone has been in my pocket, but only realised when I noticed it was getting hot in my pocket and the unlock screen was showing several failed attempts.
Not sure how your admin has it setup, but my ActiveSync settings include a factory reset after 8 failed unlock attempts.
Most likely this is what has happened to you.

could be... thanks for your feedbackps by the way, I have downloaded a separate mail client and I have configure it with the company account I hope that will avoid this remote wipe problem. Doing that I have also avoided the annoying screen blocking !!

Can I ask what mail client? I would also like a way to circumvent the screen lock while maintaining my account.

Thanks.
