Help ActiveSync - wont.

I have a new HTC Aria that does everything exactly the way I want it to. From day 1 I have had it syncing with my Exchange server at work (I'm the director of IT and piloting Android for use at my company). One day I noticed that I was getting intermittent errors synching when I was connected through the AT&T network, but things were fine when I was connected over WiFi (public, work or home). I figured I'd remove the account and set it up again to see if that helped resolve the issue. Now I can't connect to my account at all. I'm sure I have the right settings but I get an Authentication error telling me to check my username and password. I'm POSITIVE that I am entering the right username and password but still no joy... I've confirmed that the phone shows in the Mobile Devices tab in my Exchange mailbox so I know that the server remembers seeing it at least once.

Anyone have an idea where I can start to troubleshoot this?

You could try going into Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications and try clearing data on both HTC Sync and Email apps and see if that helps.

Just curious, but do iPhone users have to do this kind of thing periodically to get things working again? i've never used one.

These are the kind of actions that make Android seem MS Windows-y.

Sadly not much of an answer, but I believe I was the problem. When I got a failure I would change the address that I was entering trying to figure out what was wrong and finally I found the right combination. I wasn't using https. Turns out that was all I had to do. Since I'm the IT guy I'm not supposed to do these dumb things. This time I wrote down the settings... once the pilot is done I can distribute them so my users don't spend a week without email while I remember them again. Thanks for the help everyone!
