Actual games in 3D

Now that I have the HTC EVO V 3D I'm curious if there are any games that take advantage of its 3D capabilities other than just pictures and picture apps (Phereo, etc...).

All searches bring up 3D games like FPS which is cool, but not what I'm looking for.

I grabbed a zip with 3 3D files in it which were the 3 games included on the original Sprint ROM when the phone was released a year ago. One was just a demo of the Spider-Man game. The others were Need for Speed and The Sims. The filename is 3D_games.zip but I don't remember if I found it here or at XDA. If you go looking at XDA you'll want the forums for the original HTC Evo 3D and not our rebranded version.

I installed Samurai II on my phone the other day. Awesome game. Its been updated to run on the evo 3d. Runs flawless.

Read beyond the OP of that thread. From what I remember all but 1 of the XHD apps didn't actually have any 3D in them.
I didn't read all the way through that thread, so you could be right. I only tried two of the games from that list. One of them was not 3D unless you purchased the paid version (Speedx 3D- and I haven't tried the paid version), the other one was (Balloon Gunner 3D).

Basically it comes down to Need for Speed Shift and Sims 3 and a very small sample of market games. The other gameloft titles all crash after a few minutes of game play. It's some kind of incompatibility with ICS. Hopefully they get it sorted soon.

Btw, sinean is right about Samurai II: Vengeance. It's been updated for the Evo 3D

does Samurai II: Vengeance use the 3D on the phone?

I thought that it did make use of the real 3D, but I think that I misunderstood the notes on Google Play. Apparently there was an incompatibility with the Evo 3D's Adreno GPU that was recently fixed. Unless someone else confirms it, I will assume that Samurai II doesn't use stereoscopic 3D.
