HELP!!

I know of nothing that requires adb on the Nook. It used to be required to root some phones, but it's only needed if you're doing some hacking. What do you need it for?

Did you add the path to your tools folder to your windows path? See the section entitled "Making it a little easier": How To: adb for Windows the Easy Way

using it for flashing roms and sideloading some stuff. at the xda dev website there was info on how to install and run it but for some reason its not workin for me.

Adb isn't for newbies IMO. It's harder to set up the environment and if you type one line wrong, it doesn't work.

You can flash roms from Rom Manager or from recovery. I haven't used ADB since I first rooted my DroidX a year ago.

Off the emmc of course. :D

sdcard is for weenies. It's slower, harder to setup, and update and is more fragile. You could just backup your stock rom in recovery and restore it back if you don't like it. Much easier to flash CM7 to emmc and restore stock rom than to install on sdcard IMO.

Most of the guides here are for emmc installs as well.
