I've finally gotten sdk installed but when I try to access adb.exe I keep getting this message: C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools\adb.exe is not a valid WIN32 application.

I've double and triple checked that the path is correct but can't figure out what to do to get adb working. Anyone know whats wrong and how to fix it?

In order to use ADB you must navigate there with command prompt.

In your case you should first open the command prompt and then enter

"cd C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools"

Press enter after that, then type

"adb"

Press enter and it should fill you in on which commands do what. From there you must use specific commands in order to have adb function to your desires.

I do use the command prompt, and did it just as you outline. The error message comes up when I run the command prompt saying that adb etc, etc,,,. I 've got to find out why it is showing that its not a valid WIN32 application because its definately within the command line.

I even go so far as to run it step by step opening each line as its set up and when I get to adb and click on it and hit enter the new command window opens and script runs in it so fast I can't follow it then it closes.

Well, a new cmd window shouldnt pop up when u type adb inside the commadn prompt, period..

are you in a dos prompt?

goto Start, and in the search box, type "cmd" and hit enter.

Then CD to your sdk dir where ADB.EXE is located, then type adb devices
