Root ADB not detecting phone

So I have a rooted Droid 3 and I am trying to move files onto it. Everything was working fine a few days ago, but now my phone is not being detected using ADB, even though the computer is detecting it.

Phone's in debugging mode, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the phone's drivers, I've rebooted the comp several times. Not sure what else to try.

Have you tried unticking, waiting a few seconds, then re-ticking the usb debugging mode setting in the phone's application development settings while the phone is connected to the PC and adb is running. This usually fixes it for me.

Had a similar problem with my LG GT540 phone. Flashed then wasn't able to connect to adb although phone was recognised by computer. After embarassing length of time realised I had to uncheck USB Mass Storage only in settings -> SD card & phone storage.

Posting to this thread because it was the first result in Google search "adb not detecting device".
