I have had the Nexus S for a few weeks now and I wanted to root this bad boy. I must of miss typed something in one of the rooting steps cause I killed the phone. All the phone does now when I turn it on, is sit at a blank screen with "Google" and never changes. I can access the phone via usb in CMD but not in windows. I am unable to access the OS at all. I am able to load the bootloader and the recovery menu. I have spent many hours the past few days trying to find a solution. I few sites/forums suggest I use "adb push" to move recovery files or the android 2.3.4 file to "/sdcard/". I have ran into two problems with this. One, I try
"adb push C:\2.3.4.zip /sdcard/" but I'm not sure if the nexus can even read .zip files. This could be another step I am doing wrong.
But this returns with "Failed to copy Read-only file system" Is there a way to turn off Read-only file system?
Two, I don't know the full file path to "/sdcard/" and that could be my problem. "/sdcard/" is the only folder that shows up in the recovery menu for me. That's why I believe that's where I have to "adb push" the required files. I'm trying to "adb push" How To Install Android 2.3.4 on the Nexus S
