i think the notifications can override the date (i.e. when there are no notifications, the date shows "11/13"; when you have notifications, they show and the date does not).

I would like to see it with like an 11/13 that is always there regardless of notifications, possibly next to the existing time or possibly to the far left.
OR
I would like to see it as the full date "November 13,2010" exactly like it is now but always showing unless you have a notification and then notifications would override the display of the date.
Just brainstorming anyways....

the easiest thing I've found so far is that just by tapping the notification bar the date shows in full covering up the notifications. I know this doesn't solve it and an app would be nice.

I used search terms "calender notification bar" in the market and at least 2 popped up. I'm sure there's more with other search terms.
