Add your own words to dictionary for SMS

I know it isnt as important as "normal" phones as we have a full keyboard to use, but it would be handy to be able to store your own words when using the "Swype" style of input.

So is it possible to be able to get it to learn your own words? If so, how is this done?

after u type a new word manually (u dont swype this, just type normally), and press space, u should see an option that appears on screen, saying "add ____ to dictionary". tap that and ur good to go

Interesting... I dont get this to appear at all.
Any ideas?

coming to think of it, this was after i flashed a newer firmware.. so i think its a newer version of swype.. but on the old one, it saved my words automatically if i typed em like i mentioned in my last post. ordinarily typed, not swyped.. i think it saves those words automatically. try it

I just found something similar.
If you highlight your word, then press the Swype key, it then gives you the option to add/remove it from your personal dictionary.

ah i see. good to know. theyve smoothed out that feature in the updated swype
