Help Adding a second gmail account ?

I have two separate gmail accounts, one personal one professional.

On my last phone you could easily add a second gmail so i could just check the email on the 2nd (I could care less about getting notifications for it, since im used to checking it manually)

Anyone know if theres an easy way to do this?

ive been messing around trying to figure it out, but figure might just be faster to ask

Thanks !

Ah thanks

I was actually going to post that I just had found it

Kinda bizarre that they changed it that way, used to be able to simply just add it from the gmail app

All the things they sync on your phone its absolutely crazy

When you buy a new smartphone you have to spend a good 15-30 minutes going thru your smartphone and turning everything off. Everything is set to sync by default  Best to never sync anything with anything like Facebook or Gmail.

Buy a iPod Touch and keep all your personal stuff on it. Personal one should never have internet access. You basically need a few devices these days just to keep your personal info safe. If you download everything onto 1 smartphone and put all your personal stuff on 1 smartphone then you are pretty much screwed.

My rules are simpler.
Rule 1 - DON'T BANK ONLINE
Rule 2 - See Rule 1

I struggled with this on my phone as well. I knew where the option was but it just wasn't there. I ended up uninstalling the latest gmail update and the option to add an account popped back up. I added my second account and then updated gmail again and all is well.

I REALLY hate the gmail app. It's flaky and often won't do what I want. I'm now using a web browser interface with my gmail account(s). Very flexible, quick to use and does what I want. And reliable.

lol I learned this the hardway

my phone synced with facebook, and then I had like 1000 people under my contacts that I have never called in my life

Figured out how to hide facebook contacts shortly after, but it definitely was annoying

I'm also having a hard time finding this on my VZW Note3.under accounts I see an option to add an other email account and a Google account but not a Gmail one. Where specifically is this option?

Thanks.

It's in the gmail app under settings, accounts. If you don't see it in the upper right corner try uninstalling the update if you have the newer version running.

It is not in the newest update. I uninstalled updates and then the add account button was there. I now see that it probably could have been done without uninstalling updates since as Keegen said it is now "in the Accounts section of the phone settings. Not in the Gmail app".
