Help Adding accounts on phone, but not syncing with google

Hi,

I have noticed that if I add an contact via the S2, it will only stay on my phone, and not sync up with google. I have multiple handsets, that rely on this feature, but the S2 is letting me down for some reason.

i have my gmail/google account set to sync contacts in the account settings. what else could be going wrong??? this is very puzzling. my iphone does it, and so does my atrix. it's only the s2 that doesn't.

Are you saving the new contact as a phone contact or a Google contact? If it's only to the phone then it won't sync.

afaik, i am saving it as a google contact, but apparently it isn't doing that. the little g doesn't show up next to the contact name after i create it. i have no idea why this would happen.

well it doesn't default to google contacts. just merge you contacts with google and then from now on save them to google. there's a way to do this, but I can't think of it right now... somewhere in settings tell it to default to google. sorry I can't help more. anyone else know?
