Help adding additional languages to samsung gio

[ronr34]

I have a samsung gio running android froyo.
I want to add additional languages to the phone. how can it be done?
i tried downloading a keyboard with the language i want but when i try
changing languages, i still get only empty squares instead of letters.
Can anyone help with installing more languages on the device?

Thanks!!
