Adding an alphabet to contact list

Hello all,

I recently bought a Samsung mini 4 and I am quite happy with it.
I use a prepaid voip system to make international calls.

In order to make the voip call I need to dial in a local access number with whom my mobile number is registered and when asked I would have to dial the international number. However it is also possible to make speed dials if include alphabet "p" in between my local access number and international number like below

0044123456789P0049123456789

The voip mentions I should press the * button I see the P alphabet which did not work for me.

Can someone help me how I could get the P alphabet inbetween numbers.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

The S4 mini doesn't show a P character for a pause - it shows a comma (,) instead. When dialling a number, you can press and hold the * and it will appear as a comma. You can also hit the menu button (bottom left) and it shows an entry for "P(,) Add 2-sec pause", which is what's needed for VOIP.

When creating a contact and entering the phone number, start entering the number and then when you need a pause, click on the Sym button and you can see a "Pause(,)" key on the pad. This inserts a comma which makes it pause when dialling.

Hope this helps.
