Help Adding customized mp3 notifications on galaxy nexus?

I still haven't figured out how to add mp3 notifications to the list of notifications for the g nexus. This is ridiculous. Anybody?

It's pretty easy.
If you want it to show up under android system sounds, the files need to go into /sdcard/ringtones or /sdcard/notifications.

No problem at all.

Just create a folder named "Notifications" in the root directory where all your other folders are like "DCIM", "Music", "Media" etc.

The .mp3's you drop in the notification folder will show up on your notifications list.

The same goes for custom ringtones and alarms. Just create a folder for each respectively.

Handcent SMS, a pretty good texting app in itself, will also allow you to select from whatever music you have as a ring tone/notification in your other apps.

Lol you're right, that IS easy! I thought of trying this before, but I've been so intimidated by Astro, afraid I might screw things up if I move things around. Thanks alot!

I just now discovered something I thought to share!
In the app Ringtone Maker you are easily able to make mp3 notifications of any parts of your music, and it has the option to be saved as a notification into your notification collection (and successfully does so). It's quite awesome!
... Annnnd, once again, I want to say that I also found that the app called Light Flow is also awesome for assigning custom notifications to a number of apps. I don't even use the led flashes. Just custom audio and vibration notifications.
