Help Adding Gmail accounts

I added my Gmail account to the Evo3d successfully but when I try to add an additional Gmail account I have I get the message "Warning: Account already exists" and it wont add it. I want to have 3 Gmail accounts like I had on my Evo4G.
Thanks for any help!
 
I rebooted (even a battery pull).
It checks the account to verify the username and password and gives me the "Finish Setup" button but then I get the "Warning"
 
i have 3 --synced fine.

i would suggest you remove all your gmail accounts, do a soft reset form the shutdown menu, do a battery pull, then boot up and re-enter the accounts.
 
Anyone know how to get the 3 accounts to have there own Icons on the screen, instead of all 3 in one and you have to hit the drop down, I know I had a friend that had all 3 separate on there own named icons.

Long press the desktop, go to Shortcut, then Gmail Label. Repeat for all email addresses.
 
Never mind just figured it out, shortcut and then simply put the native app icon on the main screen.

I tried as you suggested and it didn't work. I did enter a different account first this time and it added it but then the additional accounts received the message, "Warning: Account already exists". So it seems I can add 1 account (doesn't matter which one) but no others.

go into your accounts sync tab in the settings section and make sure there are no other gmail accounts there. long shot here.... :(
 
I checked out the Accounts & Sync tab and saw the 3 accounts in there, however when I click on the mail icon on the home page, it only brings up the email for the first account I added. How do I get the other 2 accounts so show up whe the Mail icon is pressed? I do have the Sync Gmail check boxes selected.
Also, if I want to start over, I'm able to delete 2 of the 3 accounts. One account won't delete because it says some "This account is requied by some applications..."

yes you cant delete your primary gmail account unless you factory reset.

if you click on the green circle sync icon you will be able to go into a particular account and stop it from syncing.

without seeing your handset its hard for me at least to provide solutions. to me if it says "account already created.." it means that.. ive not heard of this issue before.. :(
 
Well, they are definatly created. Under Accounts & Sync > Manage accounts I have the 3 accounts listed (each one says Google then the email address under it). Then below that, only 1 Mail account is listed with the email address under it.
So it seems like I have all 3 accounts in the phone but only 1 is pulling emails.
 
All the green sync icons are green, yes. And the last sync for each Gmail account has a very recent time stamp. One was 2 min ago but I can't seem to access it anywhere.
 
Well, I wasn't going to say anything...but I found the problem. It's really not a problem but rather an oversight!
I was clicking on the default mail icon on the home screen which shows me only the default Gmail account. I decided to scroll through Apps, then clicked on the Gmail icon and low and behold...all 3 Gmail accounts are there! Right where they are supposed to be! So I put that icon on the home page...

within the Gmail app you can press menu and "accounts" and you can access your other gmail accts from there also...

im pleased you found the solution...
 
Anybody notice a delay in receiving an alert for new mail? Almost have to fetch it as opposed to natural 'push'. Maybe it was just google??
