Help Adding MS Exchange ActiveSync account-stuck on Finish setup

I've been trying to Add my work email account to my HTC desire HD, via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account. I never manage to get past the 'Finish setup' stage - it tells me to try again later! Can anyone help?

Do you need a token etc to access your work email outside the office? I can't get my handset to access my work mail because we use a secure id token to bypass the firewall.

Well, the solution turned out to be not to use ActiveSync at all, but to go with imap instead.
