Help adding self to favourite contacts

Is it possible to add one of my own phone numbers to the favourites list in contacts? When I say "my own phone number" I mean one which can be found by pressing the menu key in contacts and selecting my profile. I could always go and create a new contact for myself and use that but I'm wondering if that is a necessary step.
