Additional storage for LG G2?

Thinking of buying G2 instead of Nexus 5. I know both phones does not have micro SD card capabilities. Hence, question, can I connect a USB stick as an additional storage to G2 phone? Sure, I will not be walking around with the phone and USB sticking from it, however, if I go on a long flight and an vacation and want to take bunch of movies with me I would like to have a capability to hoop up a simple usb drive and not be limited in the amount of movies I can load up.

Thanks.
