Help Adds in notification bar

I have recently started getting annoying adds in my notification bar for apps and such. Any idea where they come from or how to get rid of them. They bug the hell out of me.

Anybody else had this issue?
 
They come from one of your apps. You can try installing Lookout or some other similar app to see which one it is that is causing the ads.
 
I had it too for a while, I think it may have been gmail popup, do you have that? I never took the time to single out which app it was.

Ya, I already have lookout installed, which is why I'm so confused that I'm getting them. Ill update this post if I find out.
 
Downloaded an app called "addons detector" and it identified that an app called "fresh network" was sending push notifications. Uninstalled it and will update in a day or two to report if it took care of the problem.
 
They're known as AirPush ads. Get the free app AirPush Detector. When you run it, it will tell you which app is the one that's causing the ads to appear.

Edit: Oops, didn't see that you already fixed the problem.

That is weird, I have had fresh network on my phone for a couple months and never had a push notification. Is this what you had installed: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.freshnetwork

I actually use it fairly frequently, but if I ever got 1 spam notification from it I would uninstall it.

Yep, that's it. And since I have uninstalled it I have had no push ads. I had it on my phone for several months as well with no issues untilled about two weeks ago. Kind of strange.
