Root Adfree App??

Anyone have any luck with this app actually removing ads? I followed the instructions on Jonamerica's page with no luck actually removing ads.

If you have S-OFF it works right out of the box. If not I believe there was adb code that you had to use to get it to work

I have s-off, and did the adb shell commands..no go.

like i said you dont have to run the command uninstall and reinstall without running the darn commands you are using the old method... just install and open the app and download and install host then reboot its very very easy

i get a droid icon where the ad would be, anybody else getting that too ?

if so, how do i get rid of it ?

help support free apps, leave the ads. They don't hurt you.

this is what I always said... but some adds are full screen now and it was the last straw when my touch screen went wacky and I had to reboot because of it... sorry devs I dont pirate apps even though I know how to but full screen adds are not acceptable

I've reluctantly had to start ad-blocking because certain devs are now floating ads directly over the content I'm trying to read or the game I'm trying to play, with no way to close or move them. WTF are they thinking?

I'm not too concerned about taking support away from people who do things like that, but it also hurts the devs who aren't idiots and properly implement their ads. If the "good" devs sell an ad-free version I'll buy it, but quite a few seem to be ad-supported only.

I installed Adfree, simply pushed okay on a few commands and BINGO! no more ads. In fact, I even uninstalled Adfree and I still dont have any ads on my previous or new apps i install.
