Help ADHOC not connecting

I have an Atrix 4G. I have setup an adhoc on my laptop with WEP and password. All my room mates can access this virtual hotspot except me. The phone sees the adhoc and when I click on the name and type in the password after a minute it just says the link is WEP secured and the connection is Remembered. It is so frustrating. Everyone with iPhone and Nokia connects to this link except me. Can anyone please help. Thanks
