Root Admiral Beast - Overclocking [Link2SD concern]

GPS2600

Lurker
Running Admiral Beast-CWM, Link2sd want to oc but concerned I will loose my data if I use reqs kernel. I am not to familiar will link2sd or ext2 3 or 4 and how they work. I know its possible to OC and continue using Beast but Can I do it without having to reinstall all my apps or losing all my data. Any info would help. Thanks

One more thing everytime I do a nandroid backup it says cannot mount sd ext...What does that mean??

Well first to answer your cannot mount sd question you don't have to worry about that because i think the backup also tries to back up your sd-ext but if one isn't present you get that error. But its nothing serious.

Also oc'ing wont mess with your data or anything but if anything messes up you can just restore your nandroid backup. But to be safe you should install reqs cwm and oc kernel first and then do a complete wipe and reinstall whatever rom you're using

Here's a link to explain link2sd [App] Link2SD - xda-developers But what link2sd does is it moves the app file, libraby file, and dalvik cache file of an app to the second partition on your sd card and then creates files for each in the system and links it to those files so that you can still run the app( but you should never link system apps).

As for loosing your data you should use titanium backup to backup all the data you want because you're gonna end up having to reinstall your apps anyways.
