Root Admire: Insufficent storage/internal memory

VMASTORGA

Lurker
Have the Admire about 1 1/2 months. every time I try to download and app it shows either: "Insufficient storage available" or "internal memory insufficient" I have a 32g sd card installed. I have tried to root the phone but can not install superuser or a root checker. Am I doing anything wrong? I like the phone but very frustrating:confused:. HELP...please:D

^with me i had to install superuser from the market to get my admire to root, and im also having the insuffent storage, and internal memory problems as well

It's just as the error tells you, there is insufficient internal storage to store the app in the system. Try moving some of your bigger apps to the sdcard.
Settings>>Applications>>Manage Applications.

i did that but i get the same message do i do a factory reset and only keep the apps that i need?

Our phones don't have much internal storage, just keep that in mind. Essentials then everything else. Though moving to sdcard should help :o

Try Finding a Way to root because their is an App on the Play Store called 'DroidSail Super App2SD' it lets u move almost any app to ur SD card

Try link2sd. There's no move restrictions since your moving apps to an ext file system.

sometimes breaks alot of apps aswell as widgets not meant to be put on sd.

for those who dont know how to tell, go into settings>applications>manage applications> sd card and youll see which apps are safe to move.

not saying anything not there cant be moved, just be careful and backup before moving !!!

i have a fresh flashed lunar gen rom debloated aswell as unnecessary system apps removed (yes, theres more than the metro apps you can remove from the system rom), 22 user apps installed currently.
using rom toolbox's app manager:
172mb used, 22mb free, before 21 user app migration to sd card and 1 user app to system rom migration.

after

95mb used/99mb free internal
109mb used/68mb free system rom

^ this is minimum debloating too, i use a lil bloatware ;/ dont feel like replacing it though. :P one day.

I've_never_ had an issue with apps breaking or widgets not working while using link2sd.
It creates an ext* partition on your sdcard to dump your apps, lib files and Dalvik that is separate from your fat32sdcard partition. So it doesn't matter if you mount your sdcard to your pc, your apps still work as they are on a separate Linux partition.
It's not like the native android app to sd, in where if you were to move an app that has widget capabilities to the sdcard it will cease to work.

I currently am using it with an ext4 partition, and have multiple widgets linked symbolically (fancy widget, jorte, fb, etc...) . All work great.
