Root admire kernel/rom issues

I have a samsung admire
model: sch-r720
running: android 2.3.4 gingerbread

First I found super one-click root for admire and rooted successfully
second I found a clockworkmod with odin, I put my admire into download mode and downloaded clockworkmod successfully
I made a backup of my stock rom
I flashed kernel/stock++
now when it boots up at some point in navigating my phone it will:
freeze completely
give one vib then three short vibs continously until freezes or shuts down or reboots
reboots
reboots into bootloop
freezes with a fuzzy screen

I have tried to restore the back up, which didn't work ( I can't remember why)
I have downloaded a cwm stock backup which won't work. I get a error can't mount system

I have tried to flash almost every rom and the mentioned site with all of the same issues as before

Any help would be incredibly appreciated

I have moved this thread into the "root" section of this forum, since the problem involves rooting.
 
Reflash the ROM.

The reason it doesn't is because you have to use a CWM for EXT4 and your first backup is probably RFS (Filesystem).

As for the Error cant mount. It doesn't affect flashing ROM's
 
Ok, so Mystery PMed me about a full stock (non rooted) file to flash in odin, which flashed successfully.
I am not getting any of the glitches from before, and my phone would seem to be in perfect working order.

Although,
I am not getting any wifi, under wifi in settings it reads error.
and there is a yellow triangle on boot.

thank you for your help thus far, and if you have any thoughts on this turn of events please let me know what to do
 
ok, so I found the fix to the wifi and triangle. all is well.
I do have another question though, I read on a thread that the beats audio flash has some errors. as well it said that you have to mount/system in order for it to flash properly.

I would appreciate any input provided on this topic. thank you
