Help Admire with front facing camera???

Guys been reading around thay the samsun admire has a front facing camera currently disabled is it true... And if it is true will they be able to a enable it in costume roms like in cm?

Not sure where you read that, but I've yet to see pictures that show any Admire with a front-facing camera, or any spec sheets that say it has one. If the camera doesn't exist (and it would be pretty hard to miss), then there's no way to enable it.

what you're talking about are the two chinas next to the earpiece one is a light sensor, the other (maybe)is a proximity sensor.so ones for the auto screen brightness if you have that enabled via the power control widget

1 Light Sensor and 1 Proximity Sensor.

there is a phone coming out that is pretty much the Admire but with 4g and a front facing camera called the Acclaim, should be here at the end of the month.

Doesn't matter what you saw in the system files.... look at the phone, there is no front facing camera!!

It kind of does look like a camera but its the light sensor. It would be cool if it did have it

This is the snide type of remark that made me drop 99% of my activity here... give the person a freaking explanation and not just some smartassed reply....
They even said they have no idea what they ate looking at.

In short almost every phone has settings and files that don't pertain to that model. This is because the same base build is used for a number of devices and some have the hardware that requires those files. I don't honestly know why other than that it makes the job a bit easier on professional code monkeys.

Icurrently have the vitality which is also known as the admire only it has cricket service, and muvemusic installed. I dont know if this has any other dierances than the admire. On the front of my phone i have three dots. One is definately a light sensor, you can look at it and tell. One i am assuming is a proximity/motion sensor. But the one on top looks to be the lens of a low resolution, 1mp camera. Sometimes phones use the same hardware only in different packagea, and in somecases the only thing you have to do is jailbreak and enable this hardware
