Help Adobe Flash - side with "good" success

jetguat

So we know that Android removed native support for Flash. But lately its just been annoying. Example, I was going to attempt my "dishanywhere" account to stream my DISH network stuff. No go. Needs Flash. Like many I have Amazon Prime. No go. Needs Flash. I was sending some JibJab videos. Needed a PC. Why? Again. Needs Flash.

Read some methods to sideload flash, but they all seem sketchy or only mildly successful. This forum is getting bigger with lots of knowledgeable folks. Anybody get flash working to they extend they feel its fully supported or at list mostly supported. I understand flash is dying, but its not dying soon enough, and nothing able able to access sites with it, is just annoying at times.

Thanks for the suggestions...

installed flashed and nearly every browser apart from Firefox they all force close whenever I try to play a video with flash, bad thing about Firefox is when I try to watch a video full screen it will be blank and sound still on

I've been using flash since day one without problem, if you need flash go to adobe arcive and scroll to bottom of page and install latest android version from there

Got a link for the archive? And I second the question. Which browser are you using

Definitely try Puffin browser. The flash is cloud based, so it's always up to date. The only unfortunate thing is if the server goes down or can't connect, browser will fail to work (since it's cloud based). You can also download direct to drop box instead of the device.

You know. Last time I went to JibJab, on my bionic it didnt work, thought it was because no flash. I went to that site with my N3 and playing the videos appears to work. So either they changed from needing flash to view them, or .... or I dunno since I've not installed any archived version. Trying to find a site with some flash. who's got a good "test" site

There are four reviews on the free version from people with Note 3's, three give it 5 stars, one gives it one star because of ads, so I'd go with the paid version.

Yeah, but I was wandering if anyone here has tested it.
(I trust you guys more, many times seen good reviws of something on the App store and noticed the reality is sometimes quite opposite of what they say..)

You could try Newgrounds, it's a flash-gaming website:

I played the simpsons tribute clip "The Sorrows" on fox flash, boat browser, and the built in Internet app and had no issues playing the clip. Both boat browser and fox flash went straight to the clip after a little buffering. Only Internet showed a play button and a time line like you would probably see browsing on a regular computer. Internet wins based on my admittedly short test. I'll try something from Zombo next.

That was a super strange site j. Anywho... Both Internet and Boat Browser just showed a lego with question marks on it when I arrived at Zombo. Fox Flash started up the site right away. Winner: Fox Flash.

I did notice an issue with both Fox Flash and Internet. When coming back to this thread both browsers left out the links under everyone's posts except for Quote. It could have been a case of my not having enough patience to let the page load but Boat Browser renders this site exactly like it looks on a computer without any wait.

One more thing about the Fox Flash free version; that ad on it will get in the way of the some of the content you may be viewing.

Thank you! :) I'm aware of the ad-problem, but I was thinking of getting the paid pro-version (no ads). How was the Flash Fox otherwise as a browser?

Pretty slick looking. I'd have to use it a bit longer to have a firm opinion plus the paid version is said to have more options for customization available so I'm going to check out the developers website before I pop for it. I like it so far. That visit to Zombo made me think about what I might have been missing on other sites I visit.

It's one of the oldest memes on the Internet. Since 1999.

Another classic flash site is homestarrunner.com.
