Ads in angry birds even with adblock?

Firewire

Lurker
Hi
After recent updates of rio seasons and original (one where they say it's a bug fix)
I have ads in all 3 of them.
My phone is fully rooted I have adblock and ads don't show in any other games just AB.

Has anyone experienced any of those issues?

Thanks
Matt

I'm not rooted so don't have adblock but I used to be able to shut my data off and play ad-free, now I can't. Won't let me play Seasons (summer) with no data connection. I can still play regular AB and previous Seasons with no data though.
Really annoying.

I'd be more than happy to pay for it through the Market. I don't want to use Amazon for apps, silly as that may seem I just prefer to stick to one place to buy/update stuff from.
Amazon gets enough of my money anyway between MP3's and Kindle.

Then that's just silly, amazon uses the same account info as your MP3's and kindle, plus amazon offers some great titles free (they have daily free deals on normally paid apps). Plus they also have some titles not offered in the Android Market such as plants v zombies.

This^^^^

I'm against ad blockers (in Android anyway), if I'm getting something that I'm going to spend a good bit of time playing/using, I've no problems putting up with the odd ad here or there. They can get in the way a little in Angry Birds, but if you wait 10-15 seconds after the level has loaded, the ad goes away.

I am usually against ad blockers but it is needed for Angry Birds. Rovio could have done the right thing and kept the ads in the same spot as the old version but they changed it and now they are really intrusive. 10-15 seconds is a long time when you are just playing the game to kill some time.

I said it was silly but, for now, it works for me

+1
I only started bypassing the ads in AB after they changed the location of them. It's the only app/game I do that for, had they left it alone I wouldn't care. I am all for devs making money and do buy or donate whenever possible (thru the Market. lol).

I'm glad I have found this thread. I fired up Angry Birds for the first time in a while and was greeted with apps in the top right corner. Initially I thought it was a problem with AdFree but it seems that ads are now present for everybody, regardless of whether they have AdFree installed?

*in best Homer Simpson voice*

10-15 seconds? But I want it now!

Seems Rovio have figured out how to hide the Adserver address, we are probably going to be seeing more and more of this, since developers need the Ads to make money and users hate them.
