Root Advantage of pushing apps to system/apps?

Is there any real benefit for pushing apps to the system/apps in terms of speed/stability?

I'm def not the right person to answer, but at least you get a bump. I think the advantage isn't so much speed, but efficiency. Things seem to install correctly more often when you push w/ ADB.

it should make no difference. android treats all apps the same regardless of whether they are system apps or not.

I don't think there is any benefit for speed or stability, but it does make it harder to uninstall. It is useful for Mobile defense or similar programs that help you track down lost/stolen phones.

Also, you can theme apps in /system/app with MetaMorph (that's why I push apps to /system/app)
