Root Advantages of Gingerbread over root ROMs?

Are there any advantages? I'm on Apex and I'm just wondering if there is any reason to switch besides it just giving us something to do and something new to look at.

Some say it's snappier, but I use LPP and thought it was slower (known issue, expected to be fixed soon).

Other than a few changed screens and a nice theme, probably just falls under "something to do" or "what else is there to do".

There's no good way to answer your question.

Gingerbread is new. It has new features. It's an entirely different software release. Does it have advantages? Sure. Does it have disadvantages? Probably.

If you feel comfortable using RSDlite and the SBF, there's no reason to not try it - just back up your current system in clockwork recovery, and upgrade. If you don't like it, SBF to 2.3.340, root, and restore your backup.

So far I've installed Gingerbread 3 times. If you factory reset before the install, there should not be any bootlooping...

This......i havent had a single issue, funny thing was when i was clicking on this thread my response was going to be stability, granted its been 24 hours but i haven't had asingle issue at all. Including the installation. I am running GoLauncher with no issues, i agree with others it is definitely krispy....lol
I love the color scheme and to be honest my opinion might be a little slieghted bc my phone never seemed to like Liberty or Darkslide or Tranquility Roms. I always had reboot issues and buggy installs. Now that im on factory leak i have yet to see a single issue...fingers crossed

I think I'm gonna stick with Apex and Rogue Cell for right now. I like the set up I have (just trying to increase my stock battery life) and I'm not one to just jump on something because it's new, even though sbf is easy.

Thanks guys, for your input.
