Advice from Incredible users

I had an eris about a year ago. Hated the damn thing!!! Love the Incredible though...
 
Random question, if I may....I have had my Incredible since release day...zero problems and completely satisfied. Want to get my sister an "entry level" android. Any suggestions? think the Inc might be a tad too much.... Thanks
 
I don't believe that any Android phone is any more entry level than another, they all do pretty much the same things, albeit with different user interfaces and speed.
That said *I* would say about any phone with the Sense UI is fairly 'user friendly' (such a tired term). Not that I'm a huge Sense fan, but it does do a fairly good job of doing what it's supposed to, especially for those folks who are very 'social'.
I'd say have her go the DInc, if nothing else you'll know she has a phone that you know how to support when she calls you at 2am because her phone is 'not working'. :)

And paying $50 for any entry-level device, verses $200 for a high-end, is insignfigant compared to the $1200-$2400 the service costs (assuming $50-$100 a month, for a 2 year contract). So if you find a good deal on an incredible, or Droid 2 if she'd like a keyboard, go for that.
 
I had an Eris from last February and after 11 months of aggravation, I was able to convince Verizon to send me an Incredible as a replacement with no addt'l cost and no extension of the contract. What a difference! I can't believe the Eris was ever put out on the market. That Droid "Didn't". Now when my upgrade comes up next month, It'll be a lever choice between keeping the Incredible and going iPhone. The entire Eris experience really soured me on Android...but it's getting sweeter.

+1 on the extended battery. I got a Seidio 3500 from Amazon and can not believe what a difference it makes in battery life and my overall ability to use the phone the way I want to. I have an early model Dinc with the AMOLED screen (beautiful to look at but power hungry) and with the Seidio 3500, I can leave the display on 24/7 at full power and not be concerned about it draining the battery.

That 3500 battery was THE best buy I could have made for my Dinc.
