First of all, if you haven't, update to Android 2.1 either using LG's official update tool or KDZ Updater.

I'm guessing that's why you get a FC on startup.

I have a question that after installing cwm recovery 2.5.1.8 using the mentioned apps my 2.1 stock Rom remain unchanged or not?what is the benefit of cwm?
