I want to get my son a tablet to put a speech program on as he is non verbal. I have the problem that he will select any (and all) icons that are displayed without consideration for what they do. Is there a way to remove ALL the icons from a tablet leaving ONLY the one I want him to use? Alternatively, is there a way to make a tablet automatically run an app on boot?

Any suggestions (short of breaking his fingers please !!!) would be appreciated.

I think you will have to write a script at this point in time to get an app to run automatically on boot. However, you should be able to long press all of the apps on the screen that you don't want and drag them to the trash just leaving the one app there that you want.
